'In Amongst the Trees'
Schools workshops
‘In Amongst the Trees’ for schools, was a dance, music and storytelling project designed to give 90 Year 1 school children the opportunity to take part in a high quality arts experience, in a relaxed creative and natural environment, supporting both their physical and mental health.
Sessions included dance, live music, nature themed creative activities and storytelling, and were co-delivered by a dance artist and a musician/ storyteller.
We aimed to create both an immersive and therapeutic experience by combining creative activities, whilst allowing children to experience the joy of nature, and further support everyday learning.
We are delivered an initial 12 workshops in May 2024 funded by Northampton Community Foundation.
