'Nature Nostalgia'
at Delapre Abbey
'Nature Nostalgia' is a FREE 13 week movement, music & reminiscence project for participants 60 yrs+, designed to engage individuals in creative activities that will encourage reminiscence and capture memories of their childhood experiences of nature play.

Come and join us for 13 weeks in Delapre Abbey Gardens, meet likeminded people, improve wellbeing and be part of the creation of a collection of oral histories which will form part of an exhibition at Delapre Abbey.

Sessions will take place on Tuesdays for 13 weeks from 2nd April 2024 10am - 11am
​

Barefooted are also offering a FREE 1 hour workshop to 8 Care Homes / Retirement Villages as part of this project.
The workshops will be delivered by a dance artist and a musician both highly experienced in working with older participants. The project aims to create both an immersive and therapeutic experience by combining movement, music and nature to help them uncover memories and reminisce about childhood experiences. This project not only promotes physical activity and mental well-being but also fosters a sense of nostalgia and connection with nature and each other, stimulating meaningful conversations among peers and staff.
